Cam & Groove Operation To make connection, simply slide the adapter into the coupler and with normal hand pressure, press the cam levers down. Uncoupling is as quick and simple as coupling. Just lift the cam arms and remove the adapter.

Boss-Lock cam and groove provides a unique patented safety feature. The cast-in lugs allow safety clips to be attached once the lugs are passed through slots in the special cam lever arms. These clips prevent the coupler from being unlocked until they are removed, providing a positive locking action. Pull ring safety clips are available to simplify the locking action on Boss-lock couplers. No more inserting clips or dangling lanyards, just a twist and it's locked, giving users a low profile positive locking action.
No more fumbling with clamps, wire, clips or pins. Just close the handles and the locking mechanism is engaged. The EZ Boss-Lock is extremely easy to open. The release lever is under the users thumb when ready to open. Resistant to accidental disconnection when being dragged. Fitting alerts user if it is not properly engaged, if the rotating lever is not flush with the handle, it is not properly engaged. EZ Boss-lock can be supplied with special shanks custom suited to application requirements, is available with swaged and PF shank designs for hard to couple chemical and process hoses. EZ-Boss-lock fittings are Made in the USA.
Developed specifically for chemical transport hoses having Crosslinked Polyethylene (XLPE) or Ultra High Molecular Weight Polythylene (UHMW) tubes. Swaged Boss-lock provides you with a permanently attached Cam and Groove fitting when superior coupling retention is required. Special equipment is required to install fittings to hose. Dunham Rubber has the capability with our 50 ton press to swage or internally expand fittings to hoses up to 6" ID. A wide range of Crimp Sleeves and Ferrules are also available for crimping or permanently attaching fittings to hose. Recommended for a maximum working pressure of 125 PSI (1/2"-1"), 100 PSI (1-1/4"-2") and 75 PSI (3"-4"); recommendations based on the use of mating Dixon fittings at an ambient temperature of 70 degress F with a standard seal installed. Polypropylene cam and groove should not be mixed with aluminum fittings. Adapters are manufactured from glass-filled polypropylene.
